This catalogue includes dowel pins of type Din 6325, ISO 2338, and Din 7 in various materials.
Dowel pins provide an almost permanent fixing between two mating parts. Once assembled they are very difficult to remove.
Types 1 and 2 - Din 6325, ISO2338 - lengths are measured over the entire pin whilst type 3 - Din 7 - rounded end pins are measured excluding the rounded end. The end can be filed or ground off after assembly to disguise the fixing area.
Pins with vents assist with assembly and extraction in blind holes by preventing trapped air.
Type 1 and 2 pins are generally interchangeable.
